Pedagogy:
Student work:
As a teacher, I believe that students should be able to work independently - with some assistance from the teacher. As students are expected to complete their assessment tasks individually, the students should build towards that, that is why this task is perfect for the students to learn to work independently and efficiently.
Technology:
As more and more schools are becoming more technologically savvy, I believe that it is important for students to learn through the use of technology, this is why I believe that the use of a website, like this one is handy for the students to have access to, it allows the students to use their technology knowledge and it is also available at anytime, this way the students can access it at home.
Engaging the students in activities:
I believe in engaging all the students in their tasks, research shows that when students are engaged in their activities, they are most likely to take in more knowledge. J.V. Boettcher explains, when faculty actively interact and engage students in a face-to-face classroom, the class develops as a learning community, developing intellectual and personal bonds. The same type of bonding happens in an online setting (J. V. Boettcher, Ph.D. - Designing for Learning 2006 - 2013). I believe that this task is interactive and allows the students to monitor their own learning.
